I think I’ve been obsessed with Design all my life!

During my school days I remember I was always looking forward to the Sunday newspaper to get my hands to the interior design supplement before my younger brother would get to it. We would both get a chance to read it but of course we would end up fighting on who will get to keep it in the end! I think that’s when I started becoming a magazine hoarder!

And when the time came to choose a career, I was really confused. For some reason it never dawned on me that I could follow Interior Design. I guess because those days back in Greece, Interior Design was perceived a risky choice in terms of landing a job. So, the only thing I could think of was Graphic Design. I don’t have any regrets, quite the opposite! Graphic Design and Visual Communication (the Bachelors degree i finished in England later on) were the best way to gain design knowledge. I still remember the Greek tutor who taught me one of the most valuable lessons that has stayed with me all these years, “Principals and balance in Design”. I remember him talking about the right letter spacing by half closing my eyes, how to design a balanced page and so much more.

It took a while for me to realise that Interior Design had always been under my skin, but if I could go back….I would change nothing!
